Acts 21:31-33

³¹ As they went about to kill him, a report came to the high captain of the soldiers that all Jerusalem was in an uproar. ³² He immediately took soldiers and centurions and ran down to them. When they saw the high captain and the soldiers, the people stopped beating Paul. ³³ Then the captain came near and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains, and demanded who he was and what he had done.
